March Madness
Hello Readers!
Welcome to March! There’s a lot going on this month, and of course, a new month means a new calendar wallpaper from me to you!

You may notice something interesting about this month’s calendar. Look closely at the background pattern and you can see the symbols representing different days in March!
First, the obvious: the green colour scheme and shamrocks can only mean St Patrick’s Day is around the corner! Later this month I will have a collection of free St Patty’s crochet patterns for you to try out.
This month is also host to International Women’s Day on the 8th. So next week’s post is going to talk about some women’s rights movements, and a way for us crafty folk to participate and support.
The last symbol is a little more subtle, a little more nerdy, and a lot more tasty! March 14th is known as Pi Day because the date is the first three digits of the number pi (π = 3.14159265358979323846…) and most people celebrate it by eating PIE!
Also, did you know, March is National Crochet Month! (Not that I need an excuse!) I’ve decided to commemorate this by writing up some beginner basics to help everyone learn the joys of crochet. That will be a 2-part series at the end of the month because March has 5 Fridays! Even more Katlike Creations for the month of crochet! So all you hookers, grab your WIPs and chs and get ready for our month of fun!
Until next time,
I’m Kat and that’s that!
